Unqork’s Internship Program is back for another summer! Here’s what you need to know before you apply.
There’s never been a better time to “unqork” your potential and join the no-code revolution! Unqork’s paid internship program is back for another summer, and we’re looking for creative problem-solvers to join our newest intern class. Hayley Schweizer, our Talent Acquisition Operations Specialist, has gone above and beyond to ensure that our interns have a dynamic and fast-paced summer, even though the internship will be remote. Learn more about what’s in store for our interns and find out how Hayley, with assistance from Abbie Szabo, DEI advocate and Office Manager at Unqork, brought this program to life.
What to Expect From an Unqork Internship
This full-time paid internship will run remotely from June 14th to August 6th, 2021. All our interns will work on projects with cross-functional teams, have weekly feedback meetings with managers, and develop a case study project of their own design. We also pack our interns’ schedules with events to help them learn more about no-code and build their skill sets. There are weekly learning bites during which interns can ask Unqork board members anything they want, 45-minute educational deep dives during which someone from a specific team gives an in-depth explanation of their team’s function, and much more.
The Unqork internship program is unique because our interns get a robust support system and unmatched access to senior leadership. “Leadership is really involved in getting to know our interns and establishing relationships with them, especially our CEO, Gary Hoberman,” Hayley says. “Gary likes to jump on Zoom and become familiar with our intern class. He is genuinely interested in understanding our interns’ passion for technology and what they have to offer while working at Unqork. Not every company is that accessible, and that’s a huge opportunity.”

“Each intern also has a manager they report to and an Unqork mentor we call the ‘Unqork Yoda,’ who reaches out to new Unqorkers and gives them another layer of mentorship and team culture,” Abbie adds. “On top of that, there are support squad members who interns can meet with one-on-one and have lunch. This gives interns the full experience of joining a team.”
In short, if you’re an Unqork intern, we want you to feel fully immersed in Unqork culture and a part of the Unqork family. And if you’re worried that you won’t get the full experience from a remote internship, don’t be! This will be the second year the internship program has run remotely, and Hayley’s found new and creative ways to adapt our usual in-person offerings to a remote context.
Got one minute to spare? Learn about the history of Unqork and the power of no-code.
“When COVID-19 hit, Hayley and I thought to ourselves, ‘How do we still make an impact? How do we work around Zoom fatigue?’” Abbie reflects. To answer these questions, Abbie connected with outside vendors who had experience with doing things remotely and used their expertise to help her create fun activities that would help our interns get to know each other outside of work. After a long day of learning no-code, you can look forward to game nights, murder mystery parties, and other unique opportunities to bond with your fellow interns and team members.
