Listen to Boris Bialek, Global Head of Industry Solutions at MongoDB, speak on a “new thinking” of data. With rapid no-code innovation, MongoDB & Unqork is a proven enterprise solution.
Boris Bialek, Global Head of Industry Solutions at
MongoDB, talks about how
MongoDB and Unqork’s “amazing partnership, you can call it even a perfect partnership” enables the optimization of digital transformations.
Boris starts his presentation off with a warning to those who think
commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) is the way to go. “The competitive advantage cannot be bought anymore. You cannot go off-the-shelf, implement the latest solution, and you’re really leading for the next 10 years. This is late.” Instead, enterprises need to be looking at data when it comes to designing (read: building, not buying) an application.
Unfortunately, working with data has always been the hardest part of building and evolving applications. While the way data is being used to build applications has changed, the typical data infrastructure is built on a 40-year-old foundation (legacy relational databases). Boris dives deep into what MongoDB can offer instead:
- Modern, distributed databases built for developers that are strongly consistent and flexible—while allowing for data governances where needed
- Ability to address a range of application use cases without adding complexity (e.g., support data on mobile devices without having to sync, deliver real-time analytics on live data without having to move the data)
- Flexibility to deploy in over 80 regions across a multi-cloud database, with the freedom to migrate from on-premises to the cloud without code rewrites
Boris dissects what it takes to scaffold the data—getting to the data and then introducing data mesh-based domains—in the session above, so be sure to watch the video to learn more.
“I’m suddenly talking about innovation in days, not in months or years.”
After building your scaffolding to get the data moving out of their legacy data silos and building out an ODS infrastructure, a big looming question remains. “How can I accelerate the innovation and delight the consumer of the application?” Boris posits. “This is where Unqork comes in … Unqork allows me to run these processes in real time, at the operational start without any problems in parallel to my existing infrastructure … I’m suddenly talking about innovation in days, not in months or years.”
“Unqork is itself MongoDB based. So I can sync via API—no ETL needed—move data from the global infrastructure I have across the company over to Unqork applications, and embed interfaces to specific functionalities as well. This is absolutely impossible to build with anything other than MongoDB Atlas in the back-end … This is what Unqork allows me now with the data—flexible, available to adjust, and being available for all application purposes along the way.”

Unqork appreciates the partnership with MongDB as much as you do, Boris!
